The photo bug bit me in 1973 with a Kodak 33. I love macro, landscapes, and explore many other facets of photography. Events, weddings, portraiture, groups, portfolios, architecture, product… you get the idea. Been there, shot that.
My rates are very reasonable. I don't like a menu type pricelist as each job is unique. I do like to get paid though - see the FAQ about freebies. If people don't pay, they don't value the effort or time. And you may have noticed, photographic kit isn't exactly cheap.
You might notice that I do not go posting photographs of people, apart from the portraits on this page which are a sampling. I value privacy, mine and yours. Read more about that on the computers page.
With any special occasion it is good to involve the photographer (and other service providers) in your process and planning earlier rather than later. With events and weddings I ask 50% non-refundable deposit at booking and the balance on the day (or before).
Please note: the quality of the photos is proportional to the effort you put in (not just me). Those awesome photos you saw online - those people took the time to: (i) brief the photographer; (ii) allocate time and effort to create great photographs. Too often a rush job with no briefing results in stress and maybe good but not superb images.
There is nothing like a great photo of yourself. I've had many people say to me "I don't photograph well." only to later remark that they "This is the best photo of me, ever!" You can even look good in your passport photo! As always my prices are reasonable - and no "voucher" traps with mega-priced "upgrades" or fixed "packages" loaded up with unwanted items.
